Eduardo Fabián Montes
Eduardo Fabián Montes is a Chicago-based filmmaker, podcast host, and Programming Director at Chicago Demo Reel Production. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema, Fabián Montes began his filmmaking career even before completing his studies, developing a distinct visual style rooted in authenticity, collaboration, and community storytelling.
He served as cinematographer and editor on the short film iORGAN (2020) and has collaborated with numerous Chicago-based production companies, artists, and creative collectives on projects spanning narrative film, documentary, and branded content.
Fabián Montes is also the host and co-producer of FLÁ Podcast, a bilingual show exploring Latinx art, culture, and identity across the Americas. His work across film and audio reflects a deep commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices and exploring the intersections of identity, creativity, and social change.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Fabián Montes remains active in community initiatives. Most recently, he partnered with the LGBTQ Center on Addison, designing and leading filmmaking workshops for elder LGBTQ storytellers—empowering them to preserve and share their life experiences through film.
